Olek Inc. provides commercial reupholstery services for churches, hospitality venues, offices, theaters, schools and institutional interiors. From a single executive chair to auditorium-scale seating runs, Olek combines skilled in-house upholstery, careful frame and padding assessment, performance textiles and padding systems selected to project requirements, plus dependable project coordination for seating designed to perform under daily use.
01
Olek reupholsters pews, benches and fixed seating for churches, chapels, temples and other religious interiors. Work can include new cushioning, fabric and upholstery rebuilding while respecting the original woodwork, proportions and design. Historic padding materials—including horsehair and cotton—can be evaluated alongside modern foam systems when the project calls for them.
02
Hotel guest-room chairs, restaurant booths, banquettes, bar stools, lounge furniture and other guest-facing seating can be reupholstered with contract-grade textiles selected for the project’s appearance and performance requirements. Olek coordinates clean pattern placement, repeated details and durable finishing across small or large seating quantities.
03
Sofas, armchairs, desk chairs, executive seating, reception furniture and built-in benches can be reupholstered for corporate lobbies, boardrooms, offices and collaborative spaces. When frames, joinery or finishes also need attention, the upholstery scope can be coordinated with Olek’s furniture restoration capabilities.
04
Olek reupholsters repetitive fixed seating for theaters, auditoriums, lecture halls, libraries, civic spaces and educational facilities. Material systems can be coordinated around specified fire-performance, abrasion and durability requirements, with production organized for consistency across large seating runs.
05
For historic or unusual seating, Olek can work with traditional upholstery construction and period-sensitive materials rather than automatically replacing every layer with a modern substitute. Horsehair, cotton and other legacy padding can be assessed, retained, supplemented or recreated as appropriate, while new cover materials are integrated with the original design intent.

Project Coordination
We used Olek Inc. to shorten and polish our beautiful heavy wood dining table. Olek had to disassemble the table, cut it, re-attach the bookends, and make it look like it was never touched. The result was flawless — you would never know it was modified.
I have a Vladimir Kagan 175 E armchair that was literally falling apart — the wood was separating at the joins and the leather seat and padding were shot. Peter at Olek did an amazing job bringing it back to like-new condition. Highly recommended for designer furniture restoration.
This is the second time I've had Olek reupholster my sofas. Each time I've been astonished at the stunning work. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the attention to detail is second to none. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my furniture.

Yes. Olek can evaluate projects ranging from individual pieces to large repetitive seating runs. Quantities, sample standards, pickup, production batches and return schedules can be phased around venue operations and project milestones.
Performance starts below the fabric. Durability depends on the complete upholstery system — frame condition, support, springs or webbing, padding density, edge build-up, seams and the selected cover material — so Olek evaluates the whole assembly rather than treating fabric as the only variable. On large projects, pattern orientation, seams, cushion profiles, exposed edges and finishing details are controlled so a room full of seating reads as one coordinated installation.
Yes. Customer’s Own Material (COM), Customer’s Own Leather (COL) and designer-specified textiles can be coordinated when the material is suitable for the furniture, quantity, pattern repeat, upholstery method and project requirements. Yardage, hide requirements, backing, repeat and suitability should be confirmed before ordering or production.
Olek works with designer-specified fabrics and commercial textile programs selected for abrasion resistance, cleanability, stain resistance, colorfastness or other project requirements; antimicrobial or other specialized finishes should be evaluated from the manufacturer’s current technical data. Urethane foam systems suit contemporary comfort and repeatability, while horsehair, cotton and other traditional padding can be retained or recreated for historic seating. Welting, topstitching, tufting, channeling, pattern placement and edge profiles are controlled as part of the finished visual system, and on volume work repeatability is treated as a quality requirement.
Requirements depend on the furniture, how it will be used, and whether the work falls within a specific federal, occupancy or project standard. CPSC guidance states that in-scope upholstered furniture reupholstered for sale is subject to 16 CFR Part 1640 and the TB 117-2013 smolder-resistance test method; furniture reupholstered for a customer’s own use may fall outside that federal scope. Commercial occupancies, bid specifications or authorities having jurisdiction can impose additional requirements, including tests such as NFPA 260 or NFPA 261. Olek coordinates fabrics, filling, barriers and upholstery details to the approved project requirement; the project team should confirm the final governing standard before production.
Yes, when appropriate to the condition and preservation goals. Olek can assess traditional padding such as horsehair and cotton, retain serviceable material, supplement it, or recreate a period-sensitive build instead of automatically replacing every layer with modern foam.
Yes. Because Olek also performs furniture and architectural wood restoration, damaged frames, joinery, exposed wood, finishes or replicated components can be coordinated within a broader scope rather than sending the piece to unrelated vendors.
For larger or repetitive seating programs, a sample chair, mockup or approved upholstery detail can be used to establish fabric placement, padding profile, seams, exposed edges and other repeatable standards before the full run proceeds. The appropriate approval method depends on the project schedule, quantity and specification.
Commercial reupholstery has to satisfy more than appearance. Olek brings upholstery craft, furniture-repair knowledge, in-house production and project coordination together so seating is evaluated as a complete assembly — with damaged frames or finishes routed to its commercial furniture restoration team and custom components to its commercial fabrication. As a HUBZone Certified Small Business (NAICS 811420), Olek supports government contracts and subcontracting, and can coordinate insurance and bonding for qualifying projects.
